Duck speaks to our mission to seek out a client’s unique culture, DNA, and mix of capabilities to design a differentiating strategy and client experience that is genuine and authentic. In architecture, it is often said that there are two types of buildings; ducks and decorated sheds. A duck is a building whose very form expresses its purpose; there is no illusion or misunderstanding. Think stadiums, airports, marinas, places of worship, and hospitals. A decorated shed could literally be anything and the only way you know what it is used for is to read the signs on it. Think of most buildings you see. Are they a bank, law firm, store, or machine shop? But for a sign, one might never know. We work to design genuine and authentic businesses that are differentiated and unique in the market, giving our clients true competitive advantage.

Studio defines our capabilities and how we deliver them. When most people think of a studio they picture a physical space meant for interaction, idea generation, exhibit and experimentation. This is exactly how we operate.
